Teenage Daughter!!!!

You all seem to be such proficient chefs. Well here is a place to share some of that cooking knowledge. Or do you have a cooking problem? Ask away. Jams and chutneys go here too.

My mother told me I became a grumpy, lazy teenager at 8 and never grew out of it...... HA!!!

Maybe I could stick her in a big pot and cook her, though the resulting stew would probably be bitter, stinky and need years of therapy recover from......

....and.... relax

it use to, and still can, drive me mad when i've made dinner and the OH is late to the table (after I've called him down four times!) and sticks his plate in the microwave because its gone cold, ruining the lovely tenderness, moistness or texture of the food (he also puts it in for far to long).

but after three years living together i've learnt that it is very important not to put your happiness on someone else's appreciation of something you've done to much. cook something because you will enjoy eating it, not someone you love will (that's a positive byproduct) and if there too late to the table they may miss there chance to eat it if its very yummy

when he asks for a specific meal i ask him when he plans to cook it
