Well said early sowing of Aquadulce have shown their heads this weekend, sent time errecting a bit of netting to stop the pidgeons getting the shoots.

Planted my first sowing of Imperial Greenlong pods, further sowing in March once the first have sprouted.

Peas to follow in March

So you know how great Salsify is as a veg, what about Cavero Nero, great leaves all through the winter , then in Spring sprouting broccolli like flowers! Takes up half as much room as broccolli

In october i planted 2 types of early onions cant remember which type, garlic: Marco & broadbeans: Bunyards Exhibition. Which are all doing well, even after the snow

Over christmas i sowed in my little greenhouse some Ailsa Craig onions which the seedlings are about 3/4" high now and just unfolding.

Last week i planted some more garlic: solent white, 4 different types of big onions: Turbo, Stuttgarter, Springfield & Red barron and 3 types of shallots for pickling: Red sun, Yellow moon & Golden Gourmet.

This weekend i intend sowing carrots: Early Nantes 5, Beetroot: Chioggia Pink & Boltardy and Kohl Rabi: Purple Delicacacy.
