Guerrilla gardening / permafarming?

My better half and I moved into our home in October. It has a garden that hadn't been touched for at least a year and is pretty overgrown. We have decided to guerrilla garden for the first year at least, beans and peas among trees, root veg in the side beds, J. Artichokes along fences, fuit bushes up against fences etc. The point I am sslloowwllyy getting to is this. LOL spottted a programme on BB2 tonight (20/2) about perma farming but only caught the last 1/4 of an hour and said that it looked exactly what we were thinking of doing. Does anyone on here have a clue about this sort of gardening and if so where can I get info on it. It seems to invlove gardening / farming amongst naturally growing woods, hedges etc.

I saw the program you are talking about,it was an episode of natural world. It was all about how agriculture will have to adapt because of peak oil.

Growing food in between trees and other non-food plants is known as forest gardening. It is a very environmentally sound way of producing food and once it's set up, it requires very little maintenance and most of the work involved is for harvesting the food.
