(boston) baked beans!

As my daughter was away yesterday, I thought to cook myself boston baked beans first time.
Cooking for my own I used the quantities below and it was absolutely delish!

100 grams dried weight white beans
125 grams bacon/ pork belly
1 small tablespoon molasses
1 teaspoon dyon mustard
a few squeezes heinz ketchup
1/4 teaspoon chili flakes (not powder)
bit of salt if needed. (taste first before serving)

soak beans overnight, next day, cook them , drain and reserve the cooking water.
cut meat in cubes to your liking and put in pan along with all the other ingredients.
add some water if too thick.
I ate this with my sourdough bread made into toast, and torn in pieces and mixed through it.....mmmmmmmmm
next time I will do MORE :D

You could try substituting the bacon with chunks of chorizo. I could live in beans. In fact, I did for a while.
