Wahoo! It's time to but seeds and start planting. Had a good while away from the site but its nice to get excited again after the winter
Here is my problem:
I've seen peat harvesting and it ruins the landscape, it aint gonna come back in a hurry either
Last year I bought peat-free compost and it was pretty poor. The texture was too rough and things stopped growing after a few weeks
I have red NEv's article on making your own but my compost is not that mature and it seems a lot of hassle. West have just come out with a new peat free mix, but I doubt it's gonna be good enough for seed trays
Any other ideas please??

Re: Peat-free Potting Compost
I take peat free general compost and sieve it for seeds.
