Volunteers to be birthday monitors

Post: # 142318Post Millymollymandy »

As Thomzo and Hamster seem to have gone awol and a lot of birthdays have been missed recently, is there anyone (or a couple of you) out there who would like to volunteer to be birthday monitors? (pretty please?)

It only involves scanning the birthday list then posting a Happy Birthday to whoever on the list's birthday it is that day.

Many thanks in advance.

Loobyloo I can't see you on the birthday list :? You need to add your name to it (top of the Ish Local section) then the monitors go through that and say Hippo Burpday to whoever's birthday it is. Hope you had a great time whenever it was!

Thank you very much Big Al  - by the way it is Karen Grace's birthday today! Not sure she's a regular though. :?

Thomzo is usually about but Hamster who volunteered to help her out seems to have disappeared lately.

Anyway for anyone who has a birthday and it gets forgotten, please do feel free to post your own birthday thread!!!

Oh and I have a feeling there are some people who have put their birthdays into the forum software which shows up right at the bottom on the index page, rather than our birthday thread which is a sticky at the top of the Ish chat section, which is where we normally look for people's birthdays.

 Sorry guys. I'm afraid pressure of work and studying has led to me abdicating my responsibilities in this regard. Poor Hamster was doing it all on her own really with me just stepping in when asked.

I am finishing work in March so will have a bit more time for the site then and can do my share again.

I used to try to post the day before someone's birthday so that we didn't accidentally miss people in other time zones.

A little request to site admin as well. Do you think we could have a birthdayish-type smilie on the main posting screen rather than having to fire up the more smilies pop-up (which takes about 20 minutes to load on my poor old laptop) please? It would save loads of time.

Cheers
Zoe
