Hello peeps
Have been having a wee nosey round the site this afternoon - looks tops. great to see so many enthusiasts out there.
Been doing bits and pieces of ishing at various levels over the years.
I now have a garden (for garden read ex bit of field) which I'm planning on starting to cultivate so will be raiding about for ideas over the coming months. And i'm always on the look out for good ish ideas to steal and use.

it's currently blowin a hoolie and pishin it down (all technical weather descriptions here!). Hope you don't suffer too much damage. I've got a piece of loose guttering which has broken its brackets and the racket as it batters against the fascia is awful. Hopefully it'll still be there in the morning and I can get out and take it down.

well, inspired by you lot, I dug and built my first ever raised bed - here's to no more double digging . (and I'll be building a dry stane dyke with wot came out )

Did waste (sorry spent time educating myself) a fair bit of time in here today too - soooooooooooooo much info. I feel like a complete beginner and in reality thought I'd been ishing since the 70s, following the footsteps of my ishing folks. But I seem to have lost the way somewhere over the years - swore I'd never have a car (finally bought one when i was 26 - went 1/2ers with a mate and we car shared) now have my own, and a motorbike and HWMBO has a van and a motorbike. I feel a total consumerist - really inspiring to read the threads re keeping stuff out of landfill and not buying anything new - I'm a wimp in comparison! I've kind of given in to the plastic issue - I try not to buy too much but in it comes anyway..... Good reality check though - thanks folks!
