where we lived in uk we had a small back yard,on the other side of the fence was an alley way so we put up one of those sensor lights that come on with movement, one evening i went out to the back shed in the dark ,just as i came under the sensor i stood on a rake,it shot up and hit me full on the nose, and my family where looking out of the window,i felt so silly and even more so as i went to go back in i did it again

Re: daft things you`ve done?
I once decided to defrost some chilli that I'd frozen in an old margarine tub on top of the cooker whilst my jacket potatoes cooked. Unfortunately, I didn't quite realise how hot it would get and the margarine tub melted and my chilli disappeared down the back of the cooker!
I also once decided to take a shortcut and didn't bother washing some shop bought spinach properly, turns out not everything you buy in a plastic bag is ready to go - the resulting spinach and ricotta lasagne tasted great until your teeth came together on the grit *cringe*
