Choc Volcanoe

I just made a "before & after" pair of cakes of Mt St Helens!

Bit of background needed, methinks. Youngest is doing "A" level Geology (+ Maths, Physics & Chemistry) with a long term ambition of becoming a vulcanologist. (Yeah, we're not sure why, either :? ) On Fridays the class take turns at bringing the cakes in, but they must have a geological theme to justify this. The lads did the rock cakes idea & most of the girls seem to have done layer cakes of some sort although one enterprizing one did just cover the cake in various jellys, claiming they represented precious stones!

Appologies, of course, if any of our American friends are offended. I do realise the eruption of Mt St Helens cost lives & devistated a huge area. No offence is intended.

Hey!!

I am an A level art and Photography teacher and I do that exact same thing!! My kids take it tin turns to bring in cake on a friday (roll on tomorrow). Except mine have no theme at all, I just tell them to bring in cake and they do!

Yummy!

Wish they could remember to bring in their work as well *sigh*
