So how are we doing???
I hope I am not opening a can of worms here.... It would be good to hear what you think about the ish forum, blogs or main site. It there anything you want here that isn't, anything you would change, anything you love?? Any feedback really would be nice.

You're doing brilliantly Andy - The forum is lovely
Only problem I have is with the search, takes me to a google page not a list of threads
I have heard talk about blogs but it's deffo outside my understanding (as is downloading music and MP3/iPod)

Re: So how are we doing???
I found the site by accident not so long ago this year - and I confess to enjoying the 'social' aspects of membership as much as the advice.
It has been reassuring to know that you are not alone with your 'wacky' ideas!
The members who post regularly are friendly, practical and come over as good people - in the best sense of the word.
It is a credit to the founders so long may it thrive.

Ok the search is powered by google, click on all ISH search and it will bring you to page where you can search either the main site or the forum. There are google ads above the search results when you search, if you scroll down you will see the acutual instances of the word.snapdragon wrote: You're doing brilliantly Andy - The forum is lovely

So for example I searched forgoats and got a few pages of results on the forum. There is also an option to search the main site or the forum if you look above the search box. Again a search for carrots just on the main site brings up pages of results.
Hope that explains things a little better for you.
The blogs are simply online diaries written by myself and Dave.
Good to hear that we are still getting it right though!

I love this place.

Re: So how are we doing???
you're doing great, the latest changes were an real improvement.
one addition I am still missing is a wwoof-ish section.
there have been a few people already asking/ willing to travel and work for bed and board and since we know each other a little bit on Ish, I thought it would make a nice addition......

Another fan here! I don't post that often, and am relatively new, but I do lurk a lot! And I love reading what other creative, self-sufficientish types have been doing. There's a lovely feel to the whole site, which is no doubt because it is visited by many lovely peeps, but it's very rare! Whatever you're doing, keep on doing it...

Dear Fee. Fairy,
I totally agree with you about the site, but -shoot me down in flames if I'm wrong - your opinion of the admin could be construed as tending somewhat to a slighly biased view?
