I rescued a long awaited project out of my craft box the other day.
3 years ago, I started to knit a fishermens rib jumper in King Cole Chunky wool -a lemon/cream colour. The rib is a large knit rib, & it's a simple enough project. I'd completed the front, back & 1 sleeve - but I'd done it in the largest size (22).
Glad I hadn't finished it - at that size, I would have looked terrible in it!!
So, as I'm now down to a 14 & still shrinking, I thought I'd undo it & knit it back again in a size 12..... it's fairly loose anyway, so would be perfect....
So.
This morning, I pick it up & am merrily knitting away in my jammies, watching the rain... dum-de-dum... By this time, I'm nearly ready to start the decrease for the top shaping on the back..... have a quick stitch count (habit!) and I've only gone & started the size 22 again!
Wah!!
So, I've now undone it yet again & have found a new sack sweater pattern with a cable front.
I didn't want a jumper in fisherman's rib, anyway.
