Hello, I'm a stranger here myself...

We love hearing from you, so here is your chance. Introduce yourself and tell us what makes you selfsufficient 'ish'. Go on don't be shy, we welcome one and all. You can also tell us how you heard about us if you like.

Hello, I'm a stranger here myself...

Post: # 133038Post Sally Jane »

I am so thankful to have found this site, and look forward to learning more ways to simplify my life.
We moved to West Cumbria last March and are in the process of renovating a house on a budget. We are endevouring to conserve what money we have, and reduce our spending generally by becoming more self-sufficient and frugal, while still having a reasonably pleasant quality of life.
This seems to be the best site around - less pious than many, and with a tendency to be good humoured, while not being up itself, so to speak!
We all have two gifts we should try to use as much as possible - imagination and humour.
Imagination compensates us for what we are not.
A sense of humour consoles us for what we are.
And wisdom tells us not to worry about it!
