Hi from London

Post: # 134352Post ajs88 »

Hi, I'm Aurora and have just joined. I'd love to rip up my lawn and just fill it full of veg, but the house is rented and I'm I can't find the motivation for putting money and hard work into a garden I might not have once the veg is ready for harvest. So I'm really looking for things that I can grow in containers etc.

I'm also into making things, weaver food or crafts, but have often not got around to it. With money being quite a bit tighter this Christmas, I made an angel and a wreath for the front door instead of buying them, which I really enjoyed. And I'm now planning on printing crepe paper for some really nice wrapping paper and hopefully some crackers, if I can find where to get the bangers.

I suppose I'm trying to relearn the things that my grandparents did but my parents forgot. But I find them quite daunting and they often require some investment.

Anyway, nice to meet you and thank you for having such a welcoming forum

A x

Hello Aurora
Welcome to Ish!
I've only been Ishing for a couple of weeks but I have to say it's the best site I've found anywhere! I've been made to feel very welcome, and have been given lots of advice and encouragement already.
I hope you get as much out of the site as I do, and enjoy the journey too! :flower:
