compost book advice (rather than a review!)

I'm sure the guys here could tell you everything you want to know between them...save you buying a book.

i dont know anything about it really other than chucking your scraps on the compost heap!!.

i just wanted something to refer to when i was starting out/stuck, rather than wait for replies to a thread....plus, it feeds my book fetish

I can't recommend a book, but I can say don't get over-worried by all of the does and don'ts. No matter what you do, your pile will, eventually, rot down into compost - it can do no other. That's your starting point. All of the compost-making techniques are merely methods of speeding up this process or making it more efficient. Basically, then, you can't go wrong.

Don't waste money on a book! I'm sure if you just Google you'll find all the info you could possibly need - even on this site alone there's probably everything you need to know. Save your money for something else!

Hi there, I have two books just about making compost- the one that showed me all I needed to know is called 'Composting' by Dick Kitto. There are quite a few others, have a look on, - www.abebooks.co.uk, just punch in, in the title box -'composting' and see what comes up.
