I live on one of Hong Kong's outlying islands called Lamma where we have no cars (except for scaled down working vehicles referred to as VV trucks). About a year ago, a group og us started a Community Shared Garden in our village (Tai Peng) and have been building a stronger sence of community since then. I have a keen interest in sustainability and hence, in self sufficiency. Actually, I came across your website as I just managed to get some cotton seeds and was looking online for information about small scale cultivation and processing when I came across an article on your site by Nev Sweeney. Thanks for that!

Hi LammaIslander,
I've only just joined but wanted to say hello. I used to live in Lantau Island (my dad still does). Lamma was always considered the hippy island ;)
Good luck on your project. It sounds like great fun.
