He's here, tired and cold, but he's here.

Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Definitely snow today - it's all got a thin cover out there already - so maybe he should take it easy just for once?

Lots of snow here - school bus (landrover) still turned up though, but I noticed a few folk having difficulty getting up the hill.

Andy's mum (me) glad to hear he made it last night - I picked the message up just before we went to bed, so we all slept soundly. I bet Andy did! Its good to know he's being looked after so well!
Re: My Cycle tour (Bristol to Scotland) can I stay at yours?
Forgot to mention, Andy got his head stuck in the railings at Alnwick Castle when he was about 2, we were camping north of Seahouses at the time.

Well, let's hope he won't have time to stick his head between railings this time - or that his head has grown enough not to fit any more!

You see? You can always rely on your mum to dig up an embarrassing story at the appropriate time. It's in the job description.yerma wrote:Forgot to mention, Andy got his head stuck in the railings at Alnwick Castle when he was about 2, we were camping north of Seahouses at the time.
Great to hear the grand tour is going well. Lots of love for the downhill section back home.

I took Andy to Alnwick today - to show him the railings
I put some lard in my handbag just in case!
. He's still here on my sofa with a belly full of fish pie and a beer in his hand. We're just about to go out into the garden to have a bonfire. Then I'll make sure he has a good nights sleep, a decent breakfast, a flask of tea and a sarnie and send him on his way!
