I don't know whether it is normal or not as this is only our 4th year here and so far it seems to be 'anything goes'!!! We've had two extremely dry summers and an extremely wet one!
It's not as bad as it sounds as the soil is very free draining, so a couple of dry days and I'll be able to rake it to get the surface ready for sowing.
And thankfully there are several warm(ish) dry days forecast!

After all the planning and work, my garden was pretty much a flop this year. I did get some potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions, celery, garlic, tomatoes and zucchini. That's it. Sounds like a lot, but I only got a little of each. Next year though.......

thats the way you've got to look at it i reckon.....this was my first yr growing and only the spuds worked out in the need. but the rest was a learning curve and next yr will be bettersmwon wrote: Next year though.......
