I too am getting some chuks, only 4, i was getting worried that because of my enforced vow of poverty ( living on benifits) that i would never be able to fox proof the garden build the coop etc... untill this morning when the sun shon brightly on me.

I was hit in the head with a pece of roof tyle by a fool of a contractor a few weeks ago and i ended up with a hidious concussion, not so important, but after a meeting with the contractor this morning and my compleet lack of greed insted of the usual £££ compensation they are going to build a coop and fox proof run and get me the chuks, iam soooooo happy!!! now not only do i not have to pay for all the stuff but they are going to do all the work for me as well, grate as my spine is a bit of a mule.

YAY CHUKS!!!!

Evelyn that's great!

Not that you were hit on the head obviously, but that they are going to that trouble for you is surprising.

What a silver lining!

LOL!

As i can no loger work for cash(3 months a year off sik seems to be a problem for most employers, go figure!) i do voluntary work and one of my "job's" is chair of a local housing trust who have just started a 5 year home improvement program, so as i visit tenants i find my self in the way of the odd random act of stupidity.

As i have the power to cancill contract's when stupid things happen they lookafter me very well, it would be very easy to ring them for all ther worth but i am not that way inclined so they are jumping for joy that all they have to do is sort out my chuks.

Not chuk related, but i have found a way of getting my hands on palets to make compost bins with for free!!! make friends with the owner of your local pound shop who seem to have a constant supply of them and are more than happy for you to take them away.
