MrsF, have you registered and left an intro under 'Say Hello' (or whatever it's called now...). Because of trolling, flaming and spamming (and witch-hunting!), you have to do that before the rest of the site becomes available. I'm not sure whether it is actually done manually by one of the moderators or site admin. If so, you might need to keep checking back from time to time as site admin is actually due to have a baby, like, 2 weeks ago LOL! So she might be in throes of labour as we speak....mind you, even then I doubt she'll be gone long!

Oooh, just checked...start a new thread to say hello, rather than just adding onto the bottom of someone else's thread - that should do the trick m'dear.

I can see a little where some ofthe points come across, but it is meant as a practical rather than a spiritual book, a lot of the spiritual books are full of pap especially those produced by Llewelyn and those written by Kate West.

Hello Mrs Fibble ,

One of the best message boards is the OBOD (Order of Bards , Ovates ,and Druids ) , it's not exclusivley (though it is mainly) about Druidry , and there some very interesting subjects discussed , and it is very friendly .

As for books , there are thousands , and mostly they are complete kak in my opinion . A good one to start with is Pagan Paths by Pete Jennings . Ron Huttons books are good , but heavy going . I thought that The Modern Pagan by Brian Day was a good book , and has much in common with Self-Sufficient-ish .

Peace

WSD

I'm worried ...

I just tried to post on this thread three times, and not one got through.

OK, it was light-hearted ... oh alright, it was a juvenile silly joke ...

You pagans certainly have the power.

Many moons ago I was a regular on this forum - UKPagan

Don't know what it's like now but like most sites you have to register before seeing all the forums it contains.

I know, witches are one of the most consistently nice groups of people on this planet. as i said, how can one worship a devil when one does not believe in a devil...?

Oh you come up against all kinds of narrow minds if you dare to be different... explain to them that the Devil is the Christianized b*stardization of Pan who is a peaceful God of the woods but was used as an evil symbol to convert the heathens to Christianity and Catholicism or face terrible torture or death for cavorting with said 'Devil'.

Most rational people understand but it occasionally sends the frothing American types into a fit which I have just learned to ignore these days.

MrsF. I can't recommend any sites except Hedgewitch's, of which I am also a member. As someone has said, there is UKpagan, which has a good forum, with lots of pagan discussion, but is not what I'd consider really earth centred, though obviously there are many people who contribute who are. There is also pagan activists, which does some environmental campaigning.
I've been pagan for more years than I care to remember, sometimes it's tough, mostly it's a wonderful way to view ourselves and our planet. I wish you much joy for the future. Blessings, Bluemoon.
