Hello from Birmingham!

Post: # 127791Post bryony »

Hi all,

I've been registered for a while but haven't mustered up the minerals to post so far... and this seems to be a good place to start!

The site is fab, and this forum seems excellent, so many great ideas and anecdotes in one place, what a goldmine!

I'm very much a novice at being self-sufficient, being a student means moving house and sometimes country every year at the moment, so the closest I've come is through vegetables in window boxes and a bit of foraging (mostly with a view to making sloe gin...). learning to knit is my current task... tricky but enjoyable.

Anyway, just wanted to say 'hi' and thanks for having me here!

Bryony

:sunny: Hi there and welcome. Have also done a lot of moving - tiring but interesting and great for staying adaptable and making new friends. Were ex pats from Bournville and now live in Spain and love it. Im a new member too, what a great site. Im at the other end of life to you and am really enjoying doing all the things I've not had time for. Getting back to knitting is one - good luck with yours.

Hello Bryony and Benjy
I'm quite new too, but loving this site. I keep meaning to pick up the knitting again, haven't really done anything since I wasabout 12, but recently found a my first how to knit book. Its very 70's but I think I might give some of the dolls clothes a go for my daughter, at least they should be quick to finish!
