ish pagans please answer
my aunts confidence in her own religion has given me the confidence to go it alone and actually convert full on to paganism. my husband is behind me and thats all that matters, but does anyone know of a forum devoted to earth-centred paganism? I know i'm not wiccan or druid, but i'm not sure what i am yet lol!
can anyone help? pagan noob calling!!!

Re: ish pagans please answer
It's a bit hard to answer really as usually Pagans have their own weird and wonderful mix of different bits (I know I do) and generally Paganism is Earth orientated anyway... was there something specific you had in mind.
Bear in mind I have never been a part of any organizations and am actually a loner and have been finding my path since I was about 12... and I still keep tripping up on the weeds
Flip... I missed the 'forum' bit... D'oh! There is a member her who has a forum but I have just re-formatted my hard drive and don't have my bookmarks handy.

Hi MrsFlibble
When I used to think of myself as a Pagan I spent quite a bit of time on http://paganwiccan.about.com/ . I've just had a bit of a nosey, and it's changed a lot since I used to go on it and it has a different person running it, but I'm sure it will be of help to you. There is a forum, so it's worth giving it a try.

Another idea might be to try http://www.paganfed.org/ and have a look to see if there's anything going on in your district.

Really lovely people, lots of information on various 'strands' (for want of a better word) of paganism, lots of discussion and debate as well...

Pagan Fed have a decent guy in charge, he is a level headed down to earth guy, avoid Kevin Carlyon like the plague, Children of Artemis are quite fluffy (in the same way that Bernard Manning was quite offensive), I belong to an organisation in the Midlands formerly known as the Pagan Association & actually run the LGBT branch of it. If you are earth based person you are already most of the way there.

Re: ish pagans please answer
I would recommend Ronald Hutton books, which are kinda heavy but are good, as well as Brian Day The Modern Pagan & of course Terry Pratchett

Brian Day The Modern Pagan doesn't get a very good write-up on Amazon. Hutton looks worth a look. Thanks for the pointer. I'm quite interested in this - I have to make up my mind whether or not it's my duty to burn Mrs Flibble.
