I would like to say thank you to whoever posted the advice about just cutting the heads of the calabrese/romanescu/brocolli and leaving the plant in the ground to continue growing - as using this method I now have collected an additional colander of veg every week since the main heads were collected - so I work out that so far I have trebled my harvest!
So Thanks - I am sorry I don't remember who posted it first.
But it also made me think - who would you thank and what for - I know that there is great wealth of advice here on the forum - but is there anything in particular that you think of when you are outside working in your gardens or allotments?

The same works for cabbages. Leave the plant in the ground, cut off the cabbage and then cut a X in the stump. It will grow 4 mini cabbages.

Yes I have MKG to thank for the enormous amount of runner beans I have harvested and still am after 3.5 months.
Just joking!
I will only be growing HALF that amount next year!!!!!!!

I'd like to thank you All for being here, sharing advice and experience, and letting me know I wasn't an outcast after all (work colleagues are three holidays a year and buy all their food and fashionable clothes types)
