What animal do you have the strongest affiliation with & why?

Mine is fairly self evident, tawny owls, I think they are majestic & beautiful creatures, mysterious, silent & deadly. They are concious of all that is around them they are alert & intelligent & hard to tame

I would love to have a couple of dogs. We used to have one and he would force me out when I felt lethargic only to come back from a good long walk feeling re-energised. Sadly OH is allergic so it's not possible.

Its a bit typical but I have to say cats.

I love the garden, sleeping, I'm rather unsociable, am very clean and I think cream is THE best product in the world. :cat:

I'm a cat too. Bone-idle, generally, with bursts of hyperactivity. Like being warm, cuddled and fed well. Basically a fat cat (without the pecuniary advantages).

So hard to choose to be honest!!!

My totem animal is a Dragon... and because there have been lost of instances of Dragons in my life that have brought something about... hard to explain really.

Parrots... intelligent, funny and brightly coloured, warm, loving... just great little creatures to be around and I have to say, sadly it is my little 'tiel Squeaky that was the only thing that kept me from suicide on a couple of occasions by flying over to me and snuggling against my neck

I think it would be easiest to say the animal I least identify with is Dogs as they scare me silly for the most part :?

I've always had a affinity with dogs. Don't know why,it may be a chemical thing. We took ownership of a 2-year-old border collieXgerman sheperd, last Friday, but she's never been trained properly. She's an absolute barmpot/scatterbrain,but young enough to train. She's gorgeous. All we have to do now, is ingratiate her with our 2 cats. Oh,my lor',could take some time!
it's either one or the other, or neither of the two.

Seabirds. I don't like the way that their dignity dissolves as soon as they spot a bit of some unspeakable carrion floating by, and I do wish that seagulls wouldn't mob rubbish tips, but the grace they can muster to hover on the merest zephyr has fascinated me since I was a child.

I would come back as a herring gull. But one with table manners.

Another cat here, I'm afraid. Favourite place - bed.

Except, I don't tend to sit on the keyboard, as Tigger is currently attempting...

Is it dog hair that your OH's allergic to? I've found that most folk who are allergic to dogs cope well with non casting breeds such as poodles etc. If a poodle's not your style, then Labradoodles are fab companions and were originally bred to be allergy friendly. See this link ( if it works!!!): http://www.discoveringlabradoodles.com
Having worked with them, I can vouch for their temperament etc. They are wonderfull pets :flower:

As you can no doubt tell... dogs are my best side-kicks :sunny: I'm also drawn to Barn Owls.

I'd have to say that it's cats for me too, for all the above reasons - but there is no way I'm ever going to attempt to stick my legs up in the air and lick my own backside!
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free

Lots of fellow cat people I see!

For me its white tigers, specifically. There's just something special about them.
