I have found a load of sloes, right beside the sea on a promontary so they probably escaped the frost. Not that I want them but was just surprised to see so many given the plum problems this year!

i seek them high, i seek them low,
and yet i can't find any sloes,
i seek them here, i see them there,
but i can't find sloes anywhere.
it is so, the seasons thin,
how will i last the winter without sloe gin?!!!!!!!

I also have no sloes in Bedfordshire. :(

I've reached the point of desperation where I'm just drinking the gin I bought to make sloe gin, diluted with tonic & a slice of lemon.

No Sloes, and a bad year for most of our fruit this year, fortunaty good stock of gin and wine from last year ( if we sloe down a bit) but plenty of nut wine and peach wine so all in all we will be OK. 'Hic' :drunken: :drunken: :flower: :thumbright: :thumbleft:
