Fenugreek as a sacrificial crop

Post: # 122922Post MAdam Cholet »

Dont know if it will work again this year, but last year we planted fenugreek as a green manure and left it over the winter. We found that by the end of the winter the pigeons had decimated the fenugreek and left all the brassicas alone. I think it may be something to do with the leaves being a bit more tender. we are having another go this year and we will have to see what happens.

I shall be using good ole' fine mesh chicken wire cages over my brassicas I reckon. seems to have worked for the carrots that were mysteriously getting eaten by something. I've now got three carrots left and i'm nurturing them with all my energy hahaha!!!
oh how I love my tea, tea in the afternoon. I can't do without it, and I think I'll have another cup very
