Grater cosy

Post: # 122093Post mrsflibble »

I own a Spong 735/N605 set, circa 1960s and made in good 'ole Basildon. It gets used on an almost daily basis for slicing, grating or mincing and what better to pretty up my kitchen worktop than a SpongMouse?!
Can't find the handle for it right now so the mouse is without a tail, but...

here's the Spong in its full glory, mine is orange.
(it wont let me upload the right size so you can read the text; link takes you to my photobucket)

Crochet construction, basic dc worked in a circle with a square at the top to fit over the wierd shape of the Spong. Muzzle contructed as a 3D half sphere, eyes and nose conform to British Safety Standards but arms don't as they're made from pink pipe cleaners wrapped in more of the same body wool.

(it's in the craftster challenge this month too!)

Clever you, I would love the instructions. I also have a spong mincer but my suction doesn't work. Hope you are feeling better, I was worried about you! pbf

PBF: I'm ok thanks.

MMM: I am terrible at knitting so this is crochet.
