Do nothing - it's all part and parcel of being a potato. Don't attempt to eat the things - they're poisonous.

If you're feeling adventurous you could save the seeds and plant them next year. They may or may not sprout, but if they do you'll have a whole new variety of potato that no one else has. You could even name it the Annpan potato :p

As per MKG. Spuds are part of the nightshade family - don't eat and if you pick and save wash your hands well!

I have done this, in the interests of knowledge & education (mine), with what I think was a cross between a Charlotte and a Belle de Fontenay.

The results grew suprisingly easily and yeilded some tiny, very hard tubers that I have stored - in hope rather than in expectation - that these might be viable seed tubers for an exciting new variety!

This is what breeders of new potato varieties have to do to get the new varieties.

The difference, of course, is that they know what they are doing whereas I am just one step up from not having a clue.

OK, I'll do that too  possibly get a maris piper, desiree cross, which might be good, though I'd imagine it has been done before.

If only they were edible, what a great plant that grew tatties and mattos... a tattimato
