More good news!

Post: # 11854Post ina »

I got a HUUUGE parcel delivered today - like Christmas and birthday together - even if I knew exactly what was in it (and how much it cost  )!

You've probably guessed it - my seeds have arrived  . Potatoes, Jerusalem artichokes, a couple of proper plug trays (I'll still be using plenty of loo rolls...), some potash, and about 30 packs of seeds - if not more. I've already sorted out the ones I need to get going a.s.a.p. I'm so excited!

Are you going to grow basil again? Do you know, mine is still alive and kicking (although rather tatty looking) on the kitchen windowsill. The silly thing is, I keep forgetting to put any of it in my cooking!

Ours never really get a chance as we are the opposite they generally get picked to death

Yes, I will grow basil again. But that's for later in summer - today I dug the Jerusalem artichokes in. Have never grown them , but if they are as easy to cultivate as everybody says, I should have plenty!

Maaaate!

I grew them for many years and they can be quite invasive. I only ever found one antidote - Chooks!

Oh nice one Ina. A parcel of useful stuff. I love getting those kind of things.

It's mostly craft stuff I get through the mail. I have spent rather a lot on it recently but I have orders to fulfill and I'll get my money back on my purchases.

You'll certainly get a lot back too!

I hope so - provided I get them out in the ground as well! I counted my seed packets - there's 36 of them. And one still to come: Jersey walkingstick. Has anybody grown that before?

What kind of crafty stuff are you getting, and what are you making with it? (Maybe you've mentioned that before somewhere and I missed it?)
