Typically I'm late with this... spotted in a tiny article in my local paper. I looked it up and came up with this site with a most fantastic book in pdf format to download explaining all about purple love, and inspiring us ALL to be more purple.... tis my favourite colour anyway!!
An outbreak of Purple Love has hit (parts of the UK) just as Valentine’s Day turns the florists and lingerie shops all red and saucy! The first ever Purple Love Week will take place in around 550 Delis, farm shops and independent good food shops across the UK. In an effort to fight back against the supermarket giants, Purple Love Week is all about supporting smaller independent food shops and spreading a little love in the gloomy month of February. 11th - 18th Feb 2006 - it may NOT be too late.
