Water in seeds and new seedlings, and then only water when temps are in the 30s for 4 or 5 days on the trot and the ground gets rock hard and starts to crack, but I do hoe a lot and break up the soil around the plantings.
I water the pots and chuck the washing up water over my herb garden and the little flower garden I have. (then fish out all the spoons and fork that inevitably end up on the ground).

Currently 11 degree. The last couple of days it barely reached 14...

According to this, I should never ever have to water anything here!
