sewing patterns

Post: # 115054Post mrsflibble »

I hate using patterns, but I have some lovely fabric and don't want to c**k it up by accident, so I'm willing to swallow my pattern hatred if I can find just the right one for soph's winter coat.

the problem is, I can't find the right one. Well, I can but nobody has it in my darling's size and I'm not confident in sizing patterns up or down.

the one I like is Simplicity 5147 from about 1968. yeah, I'm difficult.
it's the first pic on this page

either that style or a Paddington Bear style duffel coat would work with the fabric too.

I'd rather not pay full price for one new, but I am willing to look at new patterns-again if it's just the right one and yes I am checking ebay on a daily basis. any help?!

I've looked through some of my mum's old patterns but she doesn't have anything remotely similar. Sorry!

I have all my Mum's old patterns and one or two are very similar but not that exact one

but having read your other post Mrs F it seems you're sorted
