Hello from a smallholder in Japan

Post: # 115118Post risingsun »

Hi all,
I'm an English guy out here in Japan with a wife , sprog and labrador.
We moved into a an old farmhouse on the west Japan coast this spring and are crazy busy trying getting things into shape.
We're right up close to the mountains so I've got deer trying to hurdle my fence, wild boar trying to get under it and the threat of monkeys eating what's left of the veg, if I don't get the electrics wired up on the fence soon

So a big hello from the land of the rising sun.

By the way, If you want to here more of what rural life is like in Japan for a foreign resident check out this forum:

Hello fellow English smallholder in Japan.

Where exactly are you? I'm near Matsuyama on Shikoku.

I've been having trouble with animals too lately. It's nice to know that they're there, but keeping them on the other side of the fence is highly advantageous.

You must blog yourself if you're not already, with photos and all the lashings.
