PLEASE HELP - Crop problem or not??

Post: # 114522Post mew »

Hi
Ive let my girls out this morning and noticed Flo's crop is still up. Can this happen or should it be flat first thing in the morning every morning? She seems to be eating, drinking and scratching about but just wondered if we need to try and do something or just leave her to it and she'll push it through in her own time?

Ive read about compacted crops and wondered if this may be the problem?

Im a complete newbie to owning chickens (2 weeks today infact) so am a bit panicky at the first signs of anything I dont consider normal.

If anyone could let me know Id be most grateful.

Thanks

MEW

you know.. I've never looked at the crops...

IMHO if she is eating, drinking and pooing, and her comb looks normal.. I would assume all is well

I wouldn't worry to be honest, its when they stop eating and stand in a corner with their eyes closed that I start worrying.Flo sounds like she is absolutely fine.
