Hi from South Africa

We love hearing from you, so here is your chance. Introduce yourself and tell us what makes you selfsufficient 'ish'. Go on don't be shy, we welcome one and all. You can also tell us how you heard about us if you like.

Hi from South Africa

Post: # 113472Post nakhlasmoke »

Hi all

My name is Cat, and I'm a stay-home mom of two, and a belly-dancer, a hooper, and a writer.

We live on a 1/4 acre property, and are just taking our first small steps to being more self-sufficient.

I see most of you are in the northern hemisphere, so it looks like I'll always be a good two seasons behind, but what the hey, diversity is what makes life interesting. :D

I'm documenting my attempts in a gardening blog - Primrose_Green.

Hi Cat :thumbright: and welcome. There are lots of people here from Australia and NZ, so you're not alone in the south.

Now the important question - what's a hooper?
The secret of life is to aim below the head (With thanks to MMM)

Yay for the South!

A hooper is a person who spins hoops around. :D Think giant hula hoops and you're on the right track. Loads of fun and a good opportunity to behave like a kid.

Hi Cat, you may be a hemisphere away, but we're in the same time zone(more or less).
it's either one or the other, or neither of the two.
