We love em'

Very lucky we have them comming out of our ears at the moment. 5 plants are producing about 8 good size ones per week.

This one I didnt spot until it was too late - marrow!

I'm not sure what it is, but something keeps knocking the flowers off all my courgette plants. I have 4 of them, and every time I think we have another courgette on the way, I go out a bit later on, and the top has been severed off! :(

I've already got about 5kg of courgettes in the freezer ... good job I love 'em!

Courgette soup - yummy! I also love them raw, grated in salads.

Unfortunately we live in a cold exposed location near the North Yorks Moors. I am trying to grow courgettes and have planted 4 out which have suffered badly in the recent winds recorded locally at 63 mph. In a desperate attempt to protect them I placed some large barrels over them for a couple of days and have now chopped all their leaves off to stop wind rock. Will see what happens to them in the next week or two. As an insurance I have also put 1 plant in the greenhouse which is looking very strong & healthy and I expect it to produce in a few days.

Did yellow cougettes last year - they were delicious raw and we had loads of them.

This year I've done the green ones and they look and taste great. In fact the plants are already on their way out and I have 8 more starting up. Have a feeling it might be too late but as they're in the greenhouse am hoping they'll get big enough to flower in August..
