Ice cream maker recommendations?

You all seem to be such proficient chefs. Well here is a place to share some of that cooking knowledge. Or do you have a cooking problem? Ask away. Jams and chutneys go here too.

Ice cream maker recommendations?

Post: # 112571Post Clara »

I couldn´t decide exactly where to post this.....but its so hot that I have to have ice cream now!

I do not have a fridge or a freezer, though I would dearly love to make ice cream....can anyone recommend an ice cream maker that does it all, without using a fridge or a freezer? I´ve noticed that this seems to make the price sky rocket, but what will be will be. Extar brownie points if you can tell me how long it´s cycle is and how many watts it consumes.

Thanks red. How long does the cycle take? And is the wattage written somewhere on it (or the instruction booklet, if that still exists  )......I think I have the spare electricity to run it just want to be certain before I spend the dollars!
