Rocket bolting

Post: # 111309Post Annpan »

Does anyone know if/how I can harvest seeds from it?

It is now 3 1/2 ft and has had many flowers which are now just the stamen (I hope that is the right word) I was hoping to find seed when the flowers faded - it is still flowering at the top, but if I won't get any seed I'll pull it as I am sure some of my other lettuces would enjoy the goodies it is stealing from the ground.

Thanks
Ann Pan

Mine selfseeded too - and I got some nice pix of the flowers.... oh, and they attract hoverflies as an added bonus.

But it is a crop rotation bed (ie - I plan to grow other stuff there next year) so great as it would be to self seed I want to move it elsewhere - I love rocket though

dont see any reason why you could not collect the seeds..just hae to watch after the flowers die down and see what you get

The lower flowers have died... but there doesn't appear to be any seed (not that I know what I am looking for) hmmmmm.
