Hi from sunny Queensland

Post: # 110101Post mamber »

Hi Everyone,
Found this site through a post of wombats on Aussies living simply, had a look around and liked what I saw.

I live on the sunshine coast in Australia we don't really get any seasons here for example it is winter here and the current temperature is 26 degrees.
At the moment we are growing lots of citrus (mandarin oranges lemonade lime and lemons) and bananas, tomatoes, eggplant, spanish onion, bok choi, beetroot, various potatoes, many types of lettus, galangal and ginger and curry leaf tree. I'm sure I've left some out. I would like to grow garlic but it's not cold enough but I am experimenting with starting it in the fridge to try and trick it into thinking it has had a winter.
We have our own solar power aray which generats most of our power drive a hybrid car (sparingly) and generally try to lead as self sufficient life as possible.

Still learning all the time and improving hopfully :nike:
