Vegetarians in France

Although France is a real meat-loving country, the numbers of vegetarians here are definately growing .... but I think most of them are English!

I am looking into the possiblity of setting up a dinner club whereby members would have each other over for dinner.

I'm in the north of the Haute Vienne and am bordered by several other regions (cruese, charente, southern centre region).

oooh I hear your pain but unfortunately live in another country now. Last time I went to my mother's, she once again didn't understand what I could possibly eat if I don't eat meat.

And then she served "endives au jambon", because you know, ham is not really meat...

My friend has a place not far from you lovely part of France. We're about an hour and ten minutes from her and you're a bit further.

Shame ... but then again, that's not so far in French terms. And if we lived in Canada we'd be next door neighbours
