Hello, Birmingham calling

Post: # 108618Post The Prehistorian »

Hi, just found this site via HFW's River Cottage site.

Started an allotment last year and have just dug up my first ever bowl of potatoes, amzed how good they taste. Just wish something else would grow on it as I'm hungry.

Useess info about me:

Married with one cat.
Doing a PhD in archaeology.
Gave up car last month and am now getting around on bike (with trailer for loads), haven't yet persauded SWMBO to give up her car yet.
Live in the People's Republic of Erdington, Birmingham. It's hellish but I guess someone has to live here.
Dream.....cottage in the country (Shropshire hills) on organic small holding. Can't see it happening any time soon but we can all dream can't we? Can't we?

Hi there young prehistorian.
Good question from AXJ.What the Dickens is SWMBO? I've come up with a few ideas, tho' probably not correct!!
its either one or the other,or neither of the two.
