What country/climate are we going to be in? Because I was just thinking of sheep - someone spinning (Nev) and knitting (Ina) lots of nice woolly pullies for us, but maybe it won't be that cold?

I dunno - not too hot - if we've gotta dig n stuff! Northern France type climate? Warm enough for some nice evening meals outside! With plenty of home made beer and wine! Then we'd still need a few woolly pullies!

I,ll help with the dairy and cheese and yoghurt making.
Got to have goats :flower:
Bees are no trouble, SO........
I could get a peg loom and use all those non degradable plastic bags to make us some rugs.
Get a bit more use out of them before they,re dumped I suppose!
Only until all bags are degradable, when someone who is NOT me will need to shear the sheep

Somewhere nice and warm please, if its not too much to ask

Agree with the goats and bees.

And I know in theory how to shear a sheep - only, with my back (at least that's my excuse) I'm no good at it! I can stand there and give instructions, though...

But I'd rather have it not too warm. (I think this might be the crunch point where we can't all agree!)

Sorry to hear about the back ina

I can live with a moderate winter, but I,d have to be able to sunbathe in summer once the cheese was made

I thought that about goats cheese before I worked in France on a goat farm, and actually made the cheese... Delicious. I even got used to having goat's milk in everything from coffee to custard.

I think we should have dairy goats as well as cashmere. There'll be plenty of males to satisfy every need of the meat eaters as well (male goats I'm talking about!).

Minx - perhaps we should all come over your way then?

Goats - well, we can have some, of course, and I do love goats cheese and cashmere!!! Don't you have to kill the males really young for them to be edible?
