Hello from the Netherlands

Post: # 107543Post moogie »

Hello all,
I've been an avid reader of this forum ever since I discovered it... a couple of weeks ago. It's the best website I discovered this year really! :D

So I am a 29 year old Euro-lady, currently living in the Netherlands, with a tiny backyard currently full of containers, a 3 foot long mini-glasshouse and a bit of real ground I gained from the concreted bit.

I'm quite obsessed with food.

So as you guess I am here for gardening and cooking tips mainly and well, that was it.

Actually I've been growing for a couple of years but instead of a couple of cayenne pepper plants, some parsley and a couple of tomatoes I took it to a new scale. I have about 15 tomatoe plants and about as much peppers. Different varieties though so I hope the harvest won't be all at the same time. Or I'll spend a lot of time in the canning/preserving forum!

Well there is a chance it all ripens when I am two weeks away. This means that I should give the recipes to my inlaws who will be attending the plants (and the cat) then

Hello Moogie!

Just popped in for a cup of tea, feeling sorry for myself as I found nettles in the spinach the hard way! (Ouch!) The joys of gardening
