Hello from yorkshire

Post: # 107377Post ianw »

Hi. My name is Ian and I just had to join as most of my google gardening searches point to here.

This is my first year at veg growing. I've ripped up the lawn and planted potatoes, carrots (I was going to build a one foot fence aound the plot and staff it with ants armed with assault rifles to combat the carrot fly but I could find any)
er...

Garlic (mixed in with my carrots) Cabbage, Caulis, marrows, peas and herbs.
(phew)

I'm going now, I only came back inside because my thumb and forefinger is stinging like buggery.

I read once that you can pick nettles if you grasp them firmly. I thought I'd have a go. Guess what :(

Hey Ian - welcome.

Where abouts in Yorkshire are you. Anywhere near Halifax?
