Nettle Tea for allergies

Post: # 105861Post ChickenChaser »

Hi,

I have been a hayfever sufferer for many years now, and this year I have done some research on the net and have picked and dried nettle tips, made a mug of tea from one teaspoon of this every day and added a scant teaspoon of local honey to it.

The nettles have an anti-inflammatory effect and the local honey is said to have properties that help with pollen allergens.

Now, it's not worked 100%, but my asthma is less acute, my eyes are less itchy (but still affected if I rub them) and I'm not at all congested, which is unheard of for me.

It's important that you know what you're taking, of course, and this is no miracel cure, but it appears to be helping, so I feel obliged to share it at least.

Oh, and I've now not used tissues for years - hankies are such an enviromentally sound alternative and are softer on your nose too. But you probably all know that anyway
