Hello from deepest France

Post: # 105279Post sackville »

Well not that deep but deeper than millymollymandy who inhabits other fora on which I sometimes post.
We are a bit further south than the middle of France and a bit further west.
We have lived here 6 years and we currently have a lovely house just out of a village. We have about 2 acres of land including fruit trees and a large potager. Until last year growing anything here was a doddle. Last year was damp and we had blight on the potatoes, tomatoes and grapes and a constant battle with slugs and snails. Looks like this year will be similar. My husband (who mostly cuts the grass, digs on instruction and moves heavy things for me) thinks I am either mad or an incurable optimist.

Hiya Sackville, welcome to the Ishers!

We are all hoping that this year will be better than last... I lost all my tatties to blight, too - and the tomatoes hardly got to the fruiting stage (in the tunnel)!

Hi Sackville :hello2:

Your avatar is the best slug killer in the world, as far as I'm concerned (try telling 'em that here  ). I'll get told off for that.
