today we had our first eggs from the buff sussex - yippee!!

Won't be long before we have 6 eggs a day - when that happens we might start selling them in our recycled milk bottle baskets.

The goose is one of the embdens that we had when we lived in Herefordshire.

Shirlz, I agree - she is very beautiful. We have swans on the river at the moment... my second fave after the majestic heron...

A pic of the egg basket - works better with bit of old newspaper crumpled under the eggs - I sometimes leave the lid attached as it makes it easier to do the cutting....

Obviously can be used for more than just eggs.....
