Thomzo wrote:Well I can certainly recommend the Wombats as house guests. We had a great time and the cats really enjoyed being made a fuss of.

Hope you guys enjoy the rest of your holiday.

Cheers

 Thanks Zoe!

We had really great time with you and I am glad we extended the time from our original plans for just the one day.

We had a wonderful time today with Annpan exploring the fleshpots of Glasgow. Also got a look at her house and land and I have serious land envy  !

It has really made this holiday wonderful to be able to spend some time with our Ish friends and we are really looking forward to meeting Stoney and the Aberdeenshire contingent over the weekend and milims (and maybe TG) on the way back down the coast.

Again, our only regret is the unlikelihood of being able to be part of further get togethers, but look forward to seeing some of you in Aus some time in the future!

Hey Nev (and Linda) I had a great day today too... hope you got a nice taster of Glasgow.

I think I will start hiring myself out as a city guide

It was great to meet you two and if we every visit Oz (in winter time of course) you'll need to give me a tour of Sydney.

Hope you enjoy the rest of you trip

Thanks Ann!

It was wonderful to have a look around Glasgow with you and certainly if you make it to Sydney you would be welcome!

I was in the process of posting at the hotel yesterday morning at the hotel when the fire alarm went off and we got kicked out and i lost the remainder of my credit. That is the second time that has happened at a premier Inn - entertainment plus!

We have made it to Stoneys and are having a womderful time here at the Stonehead Croft. He does so much work here that it makes me tired just watching

Going out for a picnic soon with the Stonehead family.

Don't worry - I won't! But you don't want to know what it looks like after several weeks of lambing, and me just falling into bed every morning, spreading bits of hay, straw and other unidentified muck around me...

It's gone quiet in the shed now, so I'm glad I can think of other things again, too. See you tomorrow!

I hope you have managed to avoid the thunderstorms that have been around this afternoon - I've never seen the river fill so quickly!

We are still waiting for them here - the air is thick enough to cut, and it feels like it should start any minute - but we haven't even had a bit of drizzle yet! Might have to start watering my pots outside soon... :?

Don't believe a word of it. Why, I spent at least 30 minutes sitting down chatting yesterday. Admittedly, it was bucketing down rain, lightning was spearing down all about, and thunder was rattling the roof so working outside would have been a little too exciting, even for me.

Mind you, the Wombats might have thought twice about visiting if they'd arrived 10 minutes sooner than they did and found this...

They've just left — but left some stuff behind and their Aussie mobile phone number was incorrect. I did work it out in the end, so hopefully they'll have time to turn back for a return visit.
