New avatar

sorry to post on such a mundane subject but we had so much fun yesterday.
Soph and I went to southend with a couple of my old mates from uni, wonderful weather. Because I was actually sensible about sun protection and also took an umbrella, none of us suffered in the heat.

My new avatar is of sophie, strapped to my back, enjoying mummy's ice cream. Yes, I ended up with ice cream in my hair and flake down my back but she had so much fun it was all worth it.

Yeah, she spent the day eating stuff she shouldn't; so did I but she also ran off all the extra energy and slept like a log.

In future though, bank holliday at southend is SCARY with crowds and such. Next time I'm suggesting Chalkwell. quieter, nicer beach, less well known 'cos there's none of the arcades or fairgrounds.
