Hey Hey!

Post: # 100393Post crystalize »

Hey there, I'm a new member.
Rosie from Bridport, Dorset.
I read about this site and the book/bible in a newspaper a few weeks ago and subsequently bought the book.
I love it!!
I work for a small community recycling group called Bridport TLC, so I'm already 'there' in many ways, but there is so much more in the book I want to try and adopt/do.
I'm about to post in a different bit of the forum for some advice about dandelion wine (am having problems!)

Welcome Rosie, community recycler! Do you take awkward stuff eg cooking oil, aerosols, plastic lids?

Hi there, thankyou for all my welcomes :)
So glad I've found ish!
We take used cooking oil (and turn it into biodiesel), aerosols and any plastic that is soft, but not moulded plastic like yogurt pot lids and supermarket tomato trays etc.
Are you near Bridport then johnhcrf?

Rosie, I am from Scotland. My website deals with recycling/composting issues. Your details could be added as I am investigating ways to reduce bin waste to Zero. My topics here include 52WeekBinBag, Plastic Bags! I Do Not Use Them; and others. Karen Cannard of The Rubbish Diet is also interested in zero waste. She runs a daily blog covering all aspects of waste reduction and is worth contacting with your good experience.

Here, you should start a topic under the recycling heading where I have my topics. Also raise a reply to one of mine to start a debate. Join in the debate and spread the message wide.
