Nathan It's amazing that when an ordinary buyer with an unsuitable site insists on having a turbine Windsave goes ahead, but when it is the chap from newsnight who is going to give the turbine a very public independent test, he is told that his property is unsuitable and he can't have one. When an ...

Nathan is probably busy treating his bruised arse, which he gets kicked every time he pops up on a forum trying to defend the indefensible Windsave. I don't bruise easily - however my new computer arrived and I spent a lot of time transferring all my personal settings over and lost my selfsufficien...

The Warwick Trials have finally got a Windsave turbine to test. There is by far the most impressive photo of a Windsave turbine in action that I have seen on their site, it is really spinning up a storm. The report says that from Dec. 18th last year until Mar.3rd this year it has generated 10 kilow...

Don't know why I'm posting here but I can't resist. I like Martin's attitude and posts, his healthy skepticism tends to be a little over generalised and we don't agree on rooftop turbines but debate is what keeps us all honest. I wish I could get him to acknowledge there are some houses in the UK wi...

A non-sine wave inverter is generally either square wave or multistep pyramid wave. In both cases it is the vertical part of the waveform which reduces the life of the LEDs by overheating and overstressing. The concept is a little more complex than this but effectively the closer to sinewave the bet...

Its not my job to defend the government but at least criticise them for the right things. LCBP phase 2 is exactly what it says on the tin a public tier grant scheme, as such it only involves organisations large enough to cope with potential demand. How long will it take a 3 man band to fit solar wat...

I still maintain that a roof-mounted turbine on the average home, in the average town, can never get anywhere near generating the much-vaunted claim of 30% saving! We've never disagreed on this Martin - and that's my point. Windsave doesn't claim the average home it claims that at least 10% of home...

I leave you alone for a few days and people are swallowing Martins words as though they are the gospel?? There are many different opinions how well windsaves concept works, just because Marin is shouting his from every available pulpit doesn't mean that his is right. I work for windsave and we have ...

I consult to the ODPM on electricity prices. The increase next year (2007) will be between 10-30% depending on everything from winter harshness to gas stability of supply from Russia and Norway. Beyond that estimates vary from 5-15% p.a. for next 5 years. After that you might as well just guess. PS ...

not sure, but if you join the micropower council you could lobby for changes you want :lol seriously the legislation should make all microgeneration planning easier by setting low end limits on what doesn't need permission, however a very tall mast or one that can be easily seen by neighbours will a...

I love it when I'm right. See my commercial website here http://www.aelgroup.co.uk/pdf/pr_powercuts.pdf The official report I did says that rolling powercuts throughout the world would be commonplace in 2007 in USA and 2008 in Western Europe. At the time people called me all sorts of names. I hate t...
